My Sweet Blake
Today you made mommy choke up with emotion. I am so proud of you. You make smile more than you know. Tuesday you got a letter from grandma with 2.00 in it. You were so excited that you could buy a “sluchie” as you called it wed and friday. You didnt do either.
You remembered a few weeks ago the dog ate your book. Remember we have the small version of Marley living with us. You used our 2.25 cents and tried to pay for the damages of your book. (we have been trying for 2 weeks to get a note how much it would cost) Mommy is so proud that you tried to do that. Yet so sad you thought you had to. You told me there would be no “sluchie” for you.
Honey Mommy and Daddy are going to give you your money back and will have money for your “sluchie” It just shows mommy how big you are getting. It is hard to think back six years and you were just a baby cooing at Dr phil on tv. When we said ew you would cry like we pinched you. Now you are problem solving. Showing me everyday how sweet and senstive you are. How hard you can play with the best of them. I love you more than you can ever know. I love that at six you are not to big for a snuggle or public kiss goodbye.
I love that you have adapted Ya’ll and Fix’n into your vocabulary. More importantly you love yourself and your limitations flawlessly. That you are proud to be you.
Today you let Daddy and Me see that you are growing up into a wonderfully awesome little man. You let me know though I make many mistakes as a parent, you forgive.
Love you my Big Monster boy…
