Life for us has been crazy. Crazy in a good way. Let’s get this update on a roll
Nathan~ that little guy has started 3rd grade with Ms. Bowker who is amazing. I absolutely love her. She is a perfect fit for him. After our kindergarten nightmare I am not sure how we keep lucking out. Maybe the principal got tired of seeing my face. He is into all things Star wars, Lego and cars. Nathan is still my kind and compassionate kiddo. Though the attitude bug has hit him big time these past few months. I am chalking it up to changes are happening and he knows he has no control. Though we do stand firm in our rules for him and Blake. He is constantly drawing so I am sure Santa will be supplying him with art supplies. Here a few of the crazy things he has said to us as of Late.
“Mom and Dad do you have a tic tac so I can hang my planet from the ceiling?” He was looking for a push pin
We had a discussion as a family about Jesus and the disciples. We are doing our own bible studies since I don’t care for any of the services that are provided here. So my son cool as a cucumber bust out with
“Wow dad you really did walk with Jesus. You are so special. “Apparently this is so just because dads name is Paul. Love him to bits.
Blake~ oh my sweet boy loves all the babies in the daycare. We were on leave for two weeks and all he asked was when Myah and Nyx were going to come back? Poor kiddo doesn’t know what he is in for when we leave Germany in a few months. He entered 5th grade and his teacher is Mr. Powers a retired Marine. He is amazing with Blake and the families. Mr. Powers is a bit rough around the edges but Blake absolutely looks up to him. Though he said he will never become a marine. He is an Army Brat. That’s right son ;). He is into CARS and FOOTBALL! These are the only things I hear about. His dad is trying to rent a Ferrari at the Nuremberg ring for them to drive. We shall see how that goes. He got to sit in an Audi R8 and you would have thought he hit the lotto. (We have a post devoted to the car show) This kid is just a joy.
Paul~ I am so proud of that man. I can’t even begin to tell you. He was recently inducted to the NCO Core. He is all about his family and making sure we have time with him even with is busy schedule. The two weeks we took off of work were just what we needed to reconnect and recharge our batteries as a family. He got orders to Kansas. I am not thrilled as I really wanted east coast. I will deal. He is looking at being promoted and doing all that he can to get the points he needs to do so. He is doing college again. What people don’t get to see all the time with us is how loving and caring he is. He and I have a goofy, sarcastic and crazy love for each other. Most people see our goofy and sarcastic way. I have been asked more than once why we are like that. It is just who we are. 12 years later this man can make me laugh like no other. He knows when it is time to be serious and just hold me so I can get through whatever it may be. I always tell everyone we have that forever kind of love. There is nothing this world can throw at us that we won’t make it through.
Now for my update. I am constantly busy with work. My kids arrive at 6 am and most don’t leave till almost 6. I am down from 6 to 4 kids due to us leaving soon. Like I said I am not so excited to be going to Kanas. I will be going with an open mind. They won me over a little by not having a limit on how much booze I can bring. So that’s a plus. Would hate to have leave our wine and beer behind. Back on to the work subject. I have become fully certified as an FCC (Family Child Care) provider. I will be working on my CDA next. Which can be turned into college credits. Woot Woot. Right now I am enjoying what I do. I have the freedom to be home with my kids. Along with caring for some fantastic kids. I have awesome parents that I deal with. I was also named volunteer of the month which was pretty awesome.
For the family as a whole we have done some more trips. We did some of the Grimm Brothers Fairy Tale Trail, Day trips and more. I will be doing post for all. I also have found and tweaked some amazing recipes that I will be sharing on here. I am almost done with editing all the photos. My goal is to have post up and scheduled through our move. Which I will be documenting. I have missed writing. I have missed chronicling our lives. Seeing where we have been and what we have done.
