Meatloaf…since it is getting cooler here in Germany. It is time to bring out my favorite fall and winter recipes. It will be even more perfect for this cold and rainy day. I will add pictures tonight after its cooked.
This recipe you can play with. Anyone who knows me knows I don’t do exact measurements. I wing it.
What you need:
Lipton onion soup mix 1 envelope (that’s the only exact)
Italian bread crumbs
1 chopped onion
egg 1-2 depending on size
1 pound ground turkey (split in 1/2)
1 pound ground beef (split in 1/2)
Parmesan cheese freshly grated
What to do
Preheat oven to 350. I only use half of the meats because the next night or night after I use for meatballs in my sauce.
Mix all ingredients. When you have the mixture you like place in pan and shape. I add some BBQ sauce or ketchup on top. It leaves a nice glaze on there.
Cook for 45 mins to 1 hour. Times very based on size. This feed four of us with left overs.
