Spy Kids Movie Review

We had the opportunity to review the new Spy Kids movie. Our family loved it! If you are looking for a movie for your kids for the holidays, this is the one.

It has a fantastic cast Jessica Alba (Little Fockers) and Joel Mchale( Community). There is also Ricky Gervais from the office. He is a favorite of mine. The cast also includes the following Jermey Piven (entourage), Danny Trejo (Machete), Rowan Blanchard (the back up plan and newest cast member Mason Cook. The cast also includes franchise long standing members Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara. Those two have been in all the spy kids movies.

A few clips from the movie.

This movie is hysterical. I love the dynamics between the son and daughter making bets on what the step mom (Jessica Alba) is doing. Jessica Alba’s character plays a spy who is married to a Spy Hunting Television Reporter (Joel Mchale). She and Mchale are expecting a new baby. The twins Rebecca (Rowan Blanchard) and Cecil (Mason Cook). She has it all. That is until the maniacal time keeper (Jermy piven) disrupts her by threatening to take over the planet. Marissa (Jessica alba) comes out retirement as a top secret agent. Her family soon finds out her identity. Through out the movie they learn to become a true family. Loved the lessons of working together that this movie provides.

Here are some activities you can do as a family. I know we are always looking for stuff to do as a family unit.

For Blue Ray SRP is 39.99 and Just standard definition DVD is 29.98.The movie runs 88 minutes long.
