This was our first professional rodeo. We had so much fun. What we didn’t realize was the huge carnival going on next to it. The ticket prices were insane. Also the price for the rodeo was a bit much considering the others around the area that are professional as well are 10.00. Just wanted to give a fair warning for those wanting to go next year. Manhattan Kansas is only about 20 minutes from base. So just a short trip to have tons of fun.
We had really good seats. We choose to sit where you can see them coming out of the chutes. Seemed all the action stayed at our end. We have a blast every time we go to one. We laughed as it seemed everyone came from Iowa or Oklahoma. They had plenty of Entertainment from a group of guys singing Elvira to Whiplash the Cowboy Monkey.
They had the McPherson Silver Buckle Drill Team. These kids were great
One last video.
Here are some of our favorite Photos of the night
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We stuck around got a few of the autographs for Nathan. Be sure to watch for our time with Kenny and Whiplash. That post will be coming out later this week.
A suggestion if anyone from the Kaw Valley Rodeo is to take a look at the Wild Bill Hickok Rodeo’s website and do something similar. It was nice to be able to go on their site and see what was to be expected. A facebook page would even be great. Anything but twitter.
