We had the opportunity to stay at Global Resort Homes for four nights. I was talking with Paul on the way down about what we thought it would be like. We were just happy to have space without the kids on top of us. We have been staying in an extended stay until we leave for Germany. Instead of breaking lease. We didn’t really expect much. We had packed the car full of everything my mom had suggested Blankets, pillows, cooking items. Even though they said fully furnished we weren’t sure.
Global Resort Homes surpassed any and all expectations I had. We went to the main building and received our welcome packet and to check in. They gave us a letter to give to security so we could get into Windsor Hills. First plus in my book. I felt secure. Nina was extremely helpful with all my questions. The boys thought she rocked because she gave them still warm cookies. She had me fill out a few forms and off we went.
We arrived and security checked us in. The gates looked like a giant present. The security people were fantastic. They gave us a yellow pass to put in the mirror and directions to the house. We were on our way with excitement and anticipation of seeing what our new condo would look like. Nathan love the flowers that were out front. So much he made me take a picture. We got there and found out we were on the fourth floor. I was excited for the view and the workout climbing the stairs. I don’t do elevators. We reached the top as the sun was setting and just as pretty as I expected. We typed in the code on the pin pad and made our way inside.
The kids were so excited to start exploring. When you walk in you are near the closet that has the washer and dryer. There were games in there and laundry soap. Along with an extra blanket. Straight ahead was an amazing kitchen. Inspired what I would love my kitchen to look like. Sitting waiting for us was a bottle of wine, coffee and hot coco. Tara also left a sweet note for us. On the other side of the kitchen is what we called the hub of the house. The living area was set up and so pretty. The dining table was beautifully set. I didn’t want the kids to eat there.
Off the living room was a balcony and my boys loved it. They couldn’t get enough. I loved it to have my coffee on it. It was a great place to just sit and think. It was well used by us.
Off to the right of the living room was a short hall that had two bedrooms and a bathroom. The bedroom to the left is where Blake slept and it had a queen bed. Also a TV with cable hooked up. In the bedroom to the right it had two twin beds and no cable hook up. That was fine we just stuck our DVD player in there. Remember I thought I was going to be dealing with what my mom had. I was so wrong. The bathroom had plenty space for the kids and they loved having their “own”. Each room was decorated beautifully and made them feel right at home.
The master bedroom was off the left of the living room. It had a king sized bed and I loved every minute of that bed. It was extra comfy. I got in and passed right out. It was the first time in weeks I didn’t wake up sore. The room was beautiful. It had a huge walk in closet and the master bathroom was great. I loved how bright it was.
This house was fully furnished with everything a family could need and use on a trip. I hated leaving the house. You feel so at home. I must get their decorator for my own home. One of our favorite features was the wifi. They give you a password and on you go. It was quick and you were able to do what was needed.
Windsor hills also offers plenty of recreation from movie theater to tennis. There is a decent sized playground for the kids to play. They have heated swimming pools as well. It was a great place for our family to reconnect after being apart for so long. While we didn’t use the other amenities we did go and see them. I was highly impressed.
The day after arrival we had breakfast with Tara from Global Resort Homes. She is fantastic and so glad we got to spend time with her. We have added a new friend to our family. She gave us great information about the resort. People buy and rent out. Then there are people who buy and live there full time. Paul and I have talked about buying there in a few years. We just enjoyed it that much. It was so convenient with traveling to Disney, Universal, and Down town. There were plenty of restaurant choices as well as shopping.
We will definitely be booking more visits with Global Resort Homes. It is a great meeting place for our family and the rest to visit when we come back from Germany. You can find them on Facebook. If you go over tell them Sarah sent you and hello. You can find out more information by visiting their website. I will be adding them in our side bar so watch for that.
Thank you to Global Resort Homes for hosting us in your beautiful facility. We truly had a great time and appreciate everything you did to make us feel welcomed.
