It’s been awhile since I have updated on each member of the family. So I figured I would do that and answer a few emails that I have received.
First up Blake. Mr. Blake is growing like a weed. He really should knock it off. I intend to get a picture of him next to me as he is already up to my shoulders. He did ask what would happen when he was taller than me. Told him it would make it easier for me to take him out at the knees when he is fresh. He laughed. He is doing fabulously in school. Last quarter he made honor roll. Forgot to mention that oops. His best friend is Kris. Kris will be going back to Florida for the summer and part of school. His mom is deploying so keep them in your prayers. His interest seem to have shifted from Harry Potter to Thor and Wolverine. He also digs the German food. He wants schnitzel any given day.He is looking forward to camp this summer and so is mommy.
Nathan is Nathan. He is no longer allowing him to call him anything other Nathan. If you call him Nate he refuses to answer. Such a stinker. He too is doing well in school. His friends are CJ, Selena and Jacob. He is thinning out and getting really tall as well.He is really starting to write his letters and numbers well. So you know what they are. His speech is coming along. Most days now I don’t have to ask him if he has a translator or if he can sign. Nate will be going to camp as well.
Paul is still loving the Army life. It has been a week of mishaps for him from needing stitches on his chin to forgetting to make a few important phone calls that only he can make. He finally got out of his rut the last few days. June will be one year in service. He loves it. I am glad because that could make for a long long 2+ years. He gets promoted on the first. So proud of him. He will also be starting school soon to work on his degree. He has gotten us reunited with our nephew as well. So excited to send Kaden a package.
Me, I am busy with keeping house, working on the site and planning trips. On top of that the kids and their activities. My time is worn thin. I wouldn’t change it. If I haven’t added enough to my plate. I just registered for fall semester.I am excited to be going back to school. It will give me something else to fill my days with. While its nice living overseas and experience. It can be lonely as well. . Seems some back home seem to have forgotten we exists. We do have some friends but tend to be blown off more than anything else. So I have given up. So We find stuff to do as a family and fill our days when we aren’t together. I am hoping with some of the new people they won’t be so clicky before they get here and aren’t afraid to go and do have fun. Thank God for Stacey she keeps me sane!
On Family as a whole front we are looking forward to a trip to Belgium and Serengeti Amusement Park. Plenty of day trips planned. If you are in Germany or moving here definitely get the book 60 day trips in Germany. Fantastic and Detailed!
Now for the emails. I thank the three of you who have emailed to see how we were on the 8th. Yes it was the 3rd anniversary of my stepfathers passing. We said a prayer and went on a walk in garmisch to honor him. I chose this year not to post anything for our own personal reasons. I will leave it as three years ago my mother was stolen the day her husband was pronounced dead. I have always had an open policy on our site and share very intimate details of our life but right now I just can’t open this can of worms. I thank you for prayers and kind words to let us know you were thinking of us on that day. I know it has taken me awhile to acknowledge everything but I am wading through 1800+ emails. I have just kind of backed off everything to re energize and get myself back together. I have done so and so thankful for Shan and Stacey who have listened and just did truly that. Without advice or judgement! Much appreciated.
So that is what is up with us. Plenty of pictures and reviews coming for next week. Have a great weekend.
