So our family has many traditions for the holidays. We are having to reinvent this year. I am in panic mode each time I think about it. I have gotten our Elf on the Shelf for this year as that is easy to do with them. We will introduce you on the first.
What I am panicked about is that our report date is a week from Christmas. We will be in temp housing and no tree or any of that. I already have a seven year old questioning whether Santa is real or not. I know some you have never done Santa. For me it is all about the magic of Christmas for the kids. I loved it each year and want my kids to love it as well.
I joked with Paul the other night on the phone what am I going to do cut out a cardboard tree and tape it to the wall. Then I proceeded to have tears run down my face. NOT GOOD! Do we put a note in the basket that we are putting in the Global Home Resort saying Santa knows we are moving and that when we get settled in our new home, He has it arranged for him to come and see them. Don’t worry about it?
Luckily we will have time to do the James Island Lights this year. We are also doing Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party and more. We are having Santa say that Florida is the huge gift this year as Santa is really proud of the way they have behaved and acted while Daddy was gone. What are your ideas and thoughts. I am trying to keep the magic alive for Blake.
