We took the boys to Charles Towne Landing. The grounds are beautiful. I would suggest sneakers for hiking. We didn’t know it was a hiking place. Needless to say last night my feet needed some loving. Its all good.
Here you will find history. The archeology digs going on. Let me tell you they have found some awesome things. They have found dishes full sets. They have found different types of bones. A lot has been found there. I found it strange all scattered through out the property were all kinds of sea shells. We were a good 8 miles from the ocean if not more. So strange.
We loved the habitats they had for the animals. you got a close look. The kids thought this was fantastic. I guess at one time this had been a working plantation. We saw Puma, all kinds of birds, bear, bobcat, bison, deer, turkeys, turkey vultures, and otters. There were a few other but I forget what they were.
They have mon-sat live demonstrations and reenactments. I guess Sundays are strictly you go and do what you want. There was no reenactments happening. We enjoyed none the less. They had the most gorgeous wooden statue of a Native American. It was just beautiful.
We then had lunch at the Buccaneer. They had authentic Pirate stuff showed case through out. The a fish tank in the center. It was beautiful. All I could think of was deuce bigalow when he feel in the tank. That was no thanks to my husband. The food was fantastic. My kids judge a place based on the bread and butter. They got two thumbs up.So that is good. They cant wait to go there again.
Fantastic day. Here are a few pictures
The boys at the park and then at resturant with a few other resturants in there called squeeze and wet willy lol. The tree by itself had no bark on it.
