We have been living the Army life for four years. I have to say it has been fairly easy to this point. If you haven’t noticed we are going through a deployment and well it is not going as they said it would. I know we signed up for this. Spare me that lecture. You will see why in a whole other post.
Sometimes it is still hard to believe we ended up with this life style. I swore for years I would never marry or allow a spouse to join the military. While I have always loved and respected our men and women in uniform. I could never live it. So I thought. Boy did karma serve me a whole big plate of humble pie. When the economy tanks and you need to provide for the family you say ok to anything. I am actually glad we did decide to go this route.
The army provides a decent life style for us. We were able to have basically a free vacation around Europe. My kiddos got to see so many things most children just see in history books. We have created a whole other family beside our bio families. From the North’s, White’s, Wisemans, Parks and Sanchez families who have helped keep me sane through the years. Then there are my Battle buddies Kandi, Courtney and Leah who we all had hubbies at bct the same time. All of these people are life long friends now. Let’s not forget Momma OD. Love me some Odessa time. She reminds me that my faith will always carry me through. Then my daycare families. How do I miss my Germany kiddos. I loved them all like my own. I love that we have the technology so we are able to watch them grow through facebook and other means.
So CPL Caiafa Happy Four Years in The Army. We are so proud of you and all that you do for us. We love you so very much. Can’t wait till your back.
