So we are the third week into our new life in Germany. This week it became very real that we are staying. Before it felt more vacation like since we were in the hotel. Now that we have an actual apartment that vacation feel has started to go away. I am ok with that. I want to feel like this is home and we are not counting down the 100+ weeks we have left here.
We finally have a home phone and I call back to the states for free. That excites me even more. That I don’t feel such a disconnect from our family. That is was important to me.
The kids have started back to school. They aren’t thrilled. I am not sure I am thrilled with Nate’s teacher. We are going to give it a few weeks and then go from there. They are getting two languages Spanish and German. Who knew. Blake is loving his class. We are finally getting into a routine that I have so desperately wanted and needed. I have met some wonderful people here already. I know there are a few to come over from the states.
We are starting to plan some weekend trips. My new car should be here in the next three weeks or so. Paul passed his German driving test. I will be doing my test soon.I can’t wait for April. We are hoping to make it to Paris for our anniversary.
I have been enjoying this song we have heard it all over the place, unfortunately it is a cover. Since Sony doesn’t share with Germany. It is sung by Olly Murs and called Thinking of me
